Even where a single skin tank may currently suffice, consideration should be given to fitting a Bunded Tank. Unlike single skin tanks, bunded tanks consist of a “tank within a tank”. The inner tank is the primary storage vessel, whilst the outer tank acts as a failsafe. In the event of a spill, any surplus fuel will be safely and securely contained within the outer tank and an environmental pollution incident will be averted.

Our steel bunded oil storage tanks are suitable for the safe and environmentally sound storage of home heating oil. The steel bunded tanks are manufactured from steel for strength and security. They are fully bunded in construction and conform to fuel storage regulatory requirements.

The bunded tanks are available in a variety of sizes, but are typically 1350 or 2500 litres. Tanks typically have a 1” bottom outlet, 2” vent and 2” fill with cap and chain and a tank contents gauge. Additional security measures are available, if required. Tanks are painted with a red oxide undercoat and a gloss green top coat. Lifting lugs can be added for easier positioning if required.
